I had the good fortune of being invited to stay at 137 Pillars Residences & Suites (pictured above. Don't you love the art work?) in Bangkok in 2017. It was literally a life changing experience for me. I  suffer from back and neck problems and a good night's sleep can be a rare pleasure.

I have stayed at a lot of "luxury hotels and only a few have made me want to tear off  the bedding to see where they had bought their beds, who had made them and what brand they were! One such hotel was the Ritz Carlton (pictured below. The view was amazing!) Suzer Plaza in Istanbul. It was just magnificent.Since 137 Pillars is just next door in Thailand, I had to find out where they got their bedding made. Of course it was a Thai company that provided the luxurious "I'm not getting out of this bed" down quilt, mattress topper and pillows. Checking out the hotel website I read  the first thing the guests had to say was most often about the down bedding. After a few detective moves, I was able to locate the company, but alas the prices are out of my reach. As 137 Pillars can order in bulk of course they will get a better price than I will.

Their supplier's website had the prices in US$, but still it was too high for me and  I had just tossed my Posturepedic memory mattress and forked out $2600 for a new mattress which did nothing to alleviate my aches and pains. With that still on my credit card I didn't wish to add more debt.

So I made it my mission to find the same measurements and weight of their down products to see if I could get them custom made. It was difficult as I spent countless hours in front of the computer searching and coming empty handed. Many similar companies in Korea, China or even sites in Singapore either wanted a large order or didn't have it, or the price was too much.

So to make a long story short I managed to find a company in China to make me the exact measurements of the hotel down bedding, same quality and measurements and  I could only order one set! Miracles do happen!

I  got the queen size down mattress topper, light king size summer quilt and two large pillows with a goose and duck down combination. I bought two smaller pillows duck/goose feathers from IKEA and they work well together and it feels as if I am at a five star luxury hotel.

The products are great. It is a small company. Since their service was so good and prompt I promised them I would spread the word.

It has been the best S$400 I ever spent on myself. They don't require a large order and one can just have a "sample order." They do supply some hotels in Singapore.
