Hilton Singapore Orchard Unveils ‘Meetings, Elevated’, A Fresh Perspective on Sustainable And Purposeful Mice Offerings
The new MICE program encapsulates three key pillars of Hilton’s global Meet with Purpose program - Gather, Nourish and Impact, and aims to set a new benchmark through industry leading meetings’ impact calculator, climate-conscious menus and strategic local partnerships.
(Singapore – 10 February 2025) Hilton Singapore Orchard, the flagship and largest Hilton hotel in Asia Pacific introduces Meetings, Elevated – a new program that focuses on sustainable and impactful Meetings, Incentive, Convention and Exhibition (MICE) offerings that redefine events from start to finish.
Situated on Orchard Road, in the heart of Singapore’s iconic shopping and entertainment district, the hotel has established its position as one of the best MICE destinations with a prime central location, comprehensive meeting facilities and extensive room inventory. Since opening in 2022, the hotel has received notable recognitions with the most recent as one of the Top Meeting Hotels in 2024 by Cvent and attained Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC) certification with hotel-wide mindful and eco-friendly initiatives.
“We have seen an increased interest from travellers who are seeking to quantify and minimise their environmental impact, and prioritise climate-conscious menu options when they are travelling. We continue to strive toward responsible tourism and set the benchmark of delivering exceptional event experiences which are sustainable, low on waste, high on impact, value and creativity”, said Rupert Hallam, General Manager, Hilton Singapore Orchard.
As the host of meetings and events of all sizes, this further underscores the importance of Hilton’s global leading Meet with Purpose program. Launched in 2015, Meet with Purpose is dedicated to help guests provide a rewarding attendee experience while creating meaningful and responsible impact within the communities through three key pillars - Gather, Nourish, and Impact.
GATHER - SUSTAINABLE GATHERINGS WITH PURPOSE
Delegates, event attendees and planners may opt for a Meet with Purpose checklist that outlines a pre-event roadmap towards sustainable meeting experience, whether it is reduction of singleuse plastics, providing plant-based meals or pre-travel guidance to attendees that is able to positively impact every event and attendee. Companies will also be able to gather in a more sustainable and quantifiable manner with Hilton’s award-winning LightStay™ Meeting Impact Calculator that details every meeting’s total carbon footprint and environmental impact. The platform produces a comprehensive report outlining the energy, water and waste, generated from the event.
Event planners will also be able to review the data report before and after the event to ensure that the event aligns with the company’s sustainability goals. Through Hilton’s partnership with ClimeCo, meetings at Hilton Singapore Orchard are offered solutions like Carbon Neutral Meetings that empowers the hotel to purchase carbon credits on behalf of customers to offset the total event’s carbon footprint. The carbon offset purchase will be attributed to the company with a confirmation certificate to further support their sustainability performance indicators.
NOURISH - MINDFUL DINING: FOOD FOR THE SOUL
Hilton Singapore Orchard is dedicated to offering sustainable dining experiences for MICE attendees that nourish the mind and body. The hotel partners with local farmers and sustainabilitydriven partners to deliver climate-conscious menus. These menus feature the finest, sustainably sourced ingredients and superfoods, prioritising freshness and quality to boost productivity and minimise environmental impact. Some of the partners include Farmd™, a local vertical garden for home-grown greens, Fogo Fungi, for locally-grown gourmet mushrooms, Blackmore Wagyu for premium wagyu beef focused on animal welfare, and Lumina New Zealand for 100% free range, grass-fed lambs with the highest Omega-3 content in the market and two times more polyunsaturated fats than industry standards, to name a few.
Incorporating these ingredients, the hotel has also refreshed the Coffee Break Menu with thoughtfully-curated and elevated local favorites on daily rotation. Attendees can expect quality refreshments from the new menu, an always-on pantry with energy-intensive superfoods and snacks. They can also opt for an elevated menu with customisable live stations of climateconscious delights prepared à la minute, an edible garden, local favorites and uplifting refreshments. Highlights of the refreshed Coffee Break Menu include:
• Welcome: Acai berry and granola Jars, chawanmsuhi with cage-free eggs and locally grown gourmet mushrooms, Spanish olives with feta cheese quiche, Singapore-style carrot cake. • Morning Break: Free-range chicken rice, prawn noodle soup with ASC prawns, wholemeal mini croissants with smoked ASC salmon, soya chia seed pudding, chili crab spring roll

The new lunch concept emphasises on mindful dining with a variety of sustainably grown produce, quality ingredients, and cook-to-order stations. The buffet restaurant introduces a Home-Grown Salad Bar, created in partnership with local vertical farm Farmd, that features freshly harvested greens such as baby spinach, arugula, and wasabi leaves.
IMPACT - IMPACTFUL LOCAL PARTNERSHIPS
The Impact pillar focuses on meaningful connections and giving back to the community. Hilton Singapore Orchard collaborates with local partners to offer hands-on experiences as add-on packages that allow MICE delegates to contribute to social and environmental causes while enhancing their event experience.
Some examples of community impact activities include:
• KLOTH Circularity: Dedicated to circular fashion, textile recycling, and supporting marginalised women in Singapore and Malaysia, KLOTH's Eco-Creation Workshop allows attendees to craft sustainably made items like upcycled coasters and water bottle holders, promoting creativity and sustainable living.
• Gifel Tea: Gifel Tea is a renowned local tea brand that champions sustainability while redefining modern tea culture with innovation. At the interactive Teatail Experience, delegates embark on a sensory journey exploring the rich aromas and flavours of teabased beverages. They will create tea-based drinks, including mocktails and cocktails, offering a mindful, eco-conscious, and contemporary twist on tea appreciation.
• Jojomama: Jojomama is a Singapore-based social enterprise that supports person-with disability through arts and crafts. Delegates will be able to collaborate with Jojomama’s differently-abled artisans to create unique handmade customised gifts and plaques, fostering inclusivity and engagement at events.
Through these initiatives and partnerships, Hilton Singapore Orchard ensures that every meeting is not only purposeful but also contributes positively to the environment and the community.
