Prost to 20 Years of Homegrown Favourite Brotzeit!

A celebration of two decades in Singapore, featuring an anniversary menu inspired by Asia’s rich culinary influences 23 June to 26 August 2026

(Singapore, May 2026) Brotzeit, Singapore’s renowned German beer bar and restaurant serving an ensemble of authentic German cuisine crafted with only the best ingredients, is pleased to announce the launch of a limited-time 20th Anniversary Menu that will be served from 23 June to 26 August 2026. The Anniversary Menu will be available at all four Brotzeit outlets across Singapore – VivoCity, WestGate, Raffles City and Stanley Street – and reservations are highly recommended here.

Having proudly served generations of diners, Brotzeit is immensely grateful to the country it calls home and honoured to have become an enduring part of Singapore’s vibrant food culture. In that spirit of appreciation – and with a touch of creative spark – the brand unveils a special 20th Anniversary Menu inspired by the bold and beloved flavours of Asia. The limited-time menu sees Group Executive Chef Lorenz Raich (right) – classically trained and deeply inspired by his years spent in Asia – thoughtfully interpret traditional German classics through familiar Asian flavour profiles while remaining rooted in time-honoured German techniques and craftsmanship. Complementing the celebration is an exciting collaboration with local craft beer brand Bo Chup, bringing a distinctly Singaporean character to the anniversary experience.

Over the past two decades, the brand has been recognised as a stalwart of the local dining scene – no small feat in one of the world’s most dynamic F&B landscapes. Through changing tastes and evolving times, Brotzeit has remained steadfast in delivering the ‘Same Crunch, Same Craft’ that diners know and love, from the Knusprige Schweinshaxn (Crispy Pork Knuckle) and freshly baked LaugenBrezn (Pretzels), to generous sharing platters, premium German imported beers, spirits and lively Oktoberfest celebrations that have become an annual tradition for many.

Where German Heritage Meets Asian Flavours

Brotzeit’s anniversary menu is a playful yet refined expression of cross-cultural creativity. Highly recommended is the Asiatische Schweinshaxn ($42), a never-before-seen mala-marinated pork knuckle that reimagines Brotzeit’s signature Knusprige Schweinshaxn (Crispy Pork Knuckle) through an Asian lens. Lovingly marinated for 24 hours before being slowly braised, the succulent meat yields effortlessly off the bone. Served alongside rice, crunchy Chinese cucumber salad and mapo tofu presented in a tingkat – a nod to the region’s nostalgic dining traditions.

Intrigued by the Asiatische Schweinshaxn yet still craving Brotzeit’s beloved original? Savour the best of both worlds with the West Meets East Platter Combo ($78), a pork knuckle duo consisting of both Asiatische Schweinshaxn and Knusprige Schweinshaxn. Together, they offer a striking contrast of flavours and textures, bringing together time-honoured German craftsmanship and Asian influences in one celebratory platter.

The Hühnerschnitzel “Salted Egg” ($28) is another standout creation and a unique take on Singapore’s iconic cereal prawn dish. A staple within the Brotzeit menu, the schnitzel takes on a punchier personality here with tender chicken breast coated in crispy golden cereal and rich salted egg. Accompanied by a potato salad delicately seasoned with curry powder, the dish balances a familiar zi char1 classic with classic German preparation.

Fans of spice-forward profiles may gravitate towards the Mala Bratwurst ($25), featuring sausages crafted using Brotzeit’s specially developed in-house recipe. Lower in sodium and nitrate-free, the sausage is elevated with the unmistakable allure of mala spice – aromatic, peppery and pleasantly numbing on the palate. Meanwhile, for a vegetarian option, opt for Spinat Teigtaschen mit Seidentofu Sichuan ($22), where German spinach and potato dumplings are paired with silken tofu in a Sichuan-style mapo sauce, with a twist – Shiitake Mushrooms replace minced meat, lending a characteristic earthiness and umami richness to the dish.

Spätzle, a traditional egg pasta dish found across Central Europe, is freshly made in-house at Brotzeit and featured in two delectable anniversary dishes – in the Rindergulasch “Rendang” ($35, bottom), the beef shank is slow-cooked for 5 hours to allow the meat to absorb the aromatic rendang spices and the gentle sweetness from gula melaka; and in the Hummer Laksa Spätzle ($42, top), where it is tossed in a lobster broth seasoned with laksa leaves, crowned with grilled lobster tail, and finished with fresh coriander and red chilli for a vibrant lift.

Indulge in a sweet finale with the Apfel Pandan Kaya Strudel ($15), whereby a flaky golden exterior envelops layers of pandan sponge, kaya spread and apple strudel, alongside a drizzle of salted gula melaka, or wrap up the experience with the Matcha Kaiserschmarrn ($22). Infused with earthy matcha powder and paired with generous slices of fresh strawberries and a homemade strawberry compote for dipping, the dessert rounds off the experience on a bright and refreshing note.

A Local Collaboration With Character

Commemorating its 20th anniversary, Brotzeit partners with local beer brand Bo Chup – a nod to Singapore’s independent brewing scene and the growing community of homegrown producers. Named after the Hokkien phrase meaning “don’t care”, a distinctly Singaporean expression of laid-back nonchalance and irreverent charm. Bo Chup reflects a relaxed, unpretentious approach to craft brewing, bringing a distinctive local character to the collaboration.

The partnership underscores Brotzeit’s appreciation for local craftsmanship and its desire to spotlight brands shaped by Singapore’s evolving food and beverage landscape. Meaningful in its alignment with Brotzeit’s anniversary spirit, the collaboration mirrors the menu’s broader approach of honouring German heritage while drawing inspiration from the flavours and culture of the region it now calls home. Just as Bo Chup balances classic lager discipline with a recognisably local identity, the anniversary menu reinterprets traditional German favourites through familiar Asian flavour profiles – a toast to both tradition and evolution.

Raise a glass with the Bo Chup Singapore Lager (ABV 4.2%, $11 for 0.33L | $14 for 0.45L | $85 for 3L), a light, refreshing brew crafted for Singapore’s climate. Brewed to German Purity Law-compliant standards using 100% malt, European Aurora hops, and no adjuncts, it delivers a clean, precise profile with smooth bitterness, a gentle floral lift and a subtle herbal-spice edge. On the palate, expect bright malt notes, a crisp snap of bitterness and a clean, dry finish, with a delicate aroma of wildflowers and soft herbs. Designed to complement bold, flavour-forward dishes, it refreshes effortlessly through richness and spice. The beer is served in exclusive co-branded glassware created specially for the anniversary, and will be available from 23 June to 26 August 2026.

Beyond this collaboration, guests may also enjoy brews from Weihenstephan, the world’s oldest brewery with nearly 1,000 years of history, available exclusively at Brotzeit in Singapore. Choose from Weihenstephaner Hefeweissbier Dunkel (ABV 5.3%, $12 for 0.3L | $16 for 0.5L | $88 for 3L), Weihenstephaner Hefeweissbier (ABV 5.4%, $12 for 0.3L | $16 for 0.5L | $88 for 3L), or the Weihenstephaner Original Helles (ABV 5.1%, $12 for 0.3L | $16 for 0.5L | $88 for 3L).

Adding a touch of playful theatrics is the Cider-ga-rita and Bier-ga-rita ($18 per glass, average ABV of 18% per glass), a visually striking serve featuring a bottle of cider or beer perched over a frozen margarita-style base.

Those who prefer non-alcoholic options may also join in the celebrations with the Wild Fine Orange Spritz Alkohofrei (ABV 0%, $11 per glass), an alcohol-free ‘Aperol Spritz’ developed by Brennerei & Weingut Wild, a Black Forest distillery,2 and imported exclusively by Brotzeit in Singapore. Crafted to mirror the familiar bittersweet profile of the classic cocktail, it allows guests who do not consume alcohol to still be part of the occasion without compromise.

As the celebrations unfold, the Brotzeit team warmly wishes guests “Guten Appetit!” (enjoy your meal) – an invitation to gather, indulge and raise a toast to 20 years of German hospitality in Singapore.
