(Singapore - June 26, 2019) From Singapore to Singaporean: The Bicentennial Experience brings visitors back in time to discover key moments and defining events in Singapore’s journey, starting from more than 700 years ago, in 1299.

Launched by President Halimah Yacob, the showcase is open to public from 1st June to 15th September at Fort Canning Park. Featuring multimedia projections, high action re-enactments and multisensory exhibits, the showcase comprises two parts: Time Traveller, the one-hour indoor experience, and Pathfinder, the free-and-easy outdoor experience.

The Time Traveller is an immersive, cinematic ticketed experience within the Fort Canning Centre. Through five acts played out in the galleries, it presents a powerful storytelling of Singapore’s 700-year history. Stepping out to the Fort Gate area, a series of pavilions with interactive elements make up the Pathfinder, where visitors can experience history through space.

To create an immersive and experiential showcase that presents history in an engaging way to the audience, Kingsmen explored a wide range of materials and innovative fabrication techniques. One example is a weather installation which features rain falling "in reverse" together with water projections that highlight the island’s remarkable achievements.
