HighHouse - A nightlife and culinary destination set amid the Singapore skyline
(Singapore, 19 September 2023) OUE Restaurants announces the launch of HighHouse, a transcendent day-to-night nightlife and culinary destination where music, art, flavours, and conversations intersect. Spanning more than 10,000sqft across Levels 61 and 62 of One Raffles Place, HighHouse offers unparalleled views of the Singapore skyline, making it the ultimate setting for meaningful connections, impeccable service, exceptional cocktail and culinary experiences, coupled with a progressive soundscape by renowned and emerging music selectors from Singapore and beyond. The venue is due to open in November this year.
HighHouse is set to play host to a discerning crowd — local and international guests who are after good music, awe-inspiring views, delicious cocktails and food. Guests can dine, lounge or party at HighHouse, an alluring space that is breathtakingly grand in some parts, such as the double-storey main feature bar, or warm and intimate in others, such as the private entertainment room, the ageing room, or the champagne room and wine cellar.
A highlight of the space is the spectacular 14m x 3m digital screen which spotlights immersive digital artworks that complements the nightly music programming. Within the space, you will find plush booths as well as window seatings that offer breathtaking views of the Padang or Marina Bay. Whether you’re seeking the intimacy of an enclave booth, the wonder of dining with a view, or letting loose and reveling in the pulsating beats without ever leaving your seat, HighHouse seamlessly combines them into a singular and unique experience.
Led by industry veteran and General Manager Wayne Lee, HighHouse is brought to life by a team of fellow industry visionaries from music and art to food and beverage. Guests will be immersed in music programming by a roster of prominent and up-and-coming artists from Singapore and abroad. Each will chart auditory journeys that align with the genres of the night, such as House, Techno, and Disco, as well as various sub-genres of electronic music. This is done to introduce diverse sounds and spotlight lesser known acts. Drawing on flavours from around the Pacific Coast, a menu developed by Executive Chef Sam Chin offers small and large sharing plates such as Seafood Kokoda Ceviche, Whole Spanish Dover Sole with Homemade Chai Poh and Sakura Pork Belly in Massaman Curry served with Sticky Rice. The food is best paired with a flute of bubbles or signature cocktails by award-winning bar specialist and beverage consultant to HighHouse, Jay Gray. They are created with the ingredients’ Pacific Coast origins in mind, such as the Peruvian Clarified Pisco Punch with Key Lime Foam and Japanese Seaweed Umami Martini.
The transformation of HighHouse over the course of the day, from the light-filled daytime at lunch to the magical violet hours at sundown, is down to the precise spatial planning of hospitality-focused international interior design consultancy, Matthew Shang Design Oice (MSDO). Complementing the interior to invoke a sense of discovery for guests – paintings, sculptures and digital art by emerging and established artists such as Kyoto-based media artist Naoko Tosa, Melbourne-based functional art designer Eugenie Kawabata, Willem van Weghel of Kinetic Objects, and Berlin digital art and design studio onformative were brought together by art consultant, The Artling. Branding agency Somewhere Els e translated the spirit of the space into the visual language of HighHouse.
“HighHouse is brought to life by a powerhouse team of acclaimed and award-winning industry visionaries renowned for their contributions to the arts, design, entertainment and hospitality industries. Together we have created a lifestyle destination that guarantees new discoveries with every visit. We cannot wait for guests to experience it,” says the General Manager.
Also making its introduction at the end of the year is NOVA, the highest rooftop bar in Singapore located at Level 63 just above HighHouse, with an unrestricted 360-degree panoramic view of Singapore. Perched atop one of Singapore’s iconic skyscrapers, NOVA provides the perfect vantage point through the heart of the city to experience the grandeur, warm, golden hues of sunset gradually transforming into a canvas of twinkling night sky and urban brilliance.
NOVA invites guests to a multisensorial escapade akin to a “festival in the sky” experience — with a sonic expedition of music genres ranging from house, funk, soul, afro beats and beyond, and a culinary and beverage oering inspired by festivals and street food of Southern California. NOVA is set to open its doors at the end of 2023. More details will be shared in the upcoming weeks.
