TravMedia Awards Asia 2025 Celebrate Top Travel Writers, Content Creators & PR Talent
(Singapore, 14 October 2025) TravMedia has officially revealed the winners of the TravMedia Awards Asia 2025 during a celebratory luncheon at Suntec Singapore. The prestigious awards honour the region’s most outstanding achievements in travel writing, content creation, and public relations, spotlighting the creative voices shaping Asia’s travel industry.
This year’s event highlights the growing influence of travel storytelling and the dynamic role of PR professionals in promoting tourism across Asia. From compelling narratives to innovative campaigns, the winners represent the best in travel media excellence.
The TravMedia Awards are the first pan-Asian awards of their kind, recognising excellence in travel media and PR, and setting a bold new benchmark for professionals working in destinations, hotels, cruise lines and airlines across the region.

Media Lifetime Achievement
Karen Yue – (Group Editor of TTG Asia) received the Media Lifetime Achievement Award as a true force in the industry who has been shaping travel reporting in the region. The judges praised her editorial integrity, ability to mentor rising voices, and strategic thinking in an ever-shifting travel landscape.
Travel Writer of the Year
Charukesi Ramadurai – (freelancer) was named Travel Writer of the Year for weaving cultural depth, environmental insight and human resonance into her stories. The judges spoke about her genuine voice and unique lens on the world.
Content Creator of the Year
Tina Pik - (Hangry by Nature) was recognised for bringing energy, fun and authenticity to her content. The judges praised her enthusiasm, knack for capturing the unexpected, and ability to produce beautiful content that shapes how people think and feel about travel.
Travel Magazine of the Year
DestinAsian was described as a beacon of quality travel storytelling in Asia-Pacific that provides both aspirational imagery and deep insight. The judges praised it as beautifully designed, thoughtful, and trusted by both readers and industry insiders.
Travel Section of the Year
The Straits Times (ST Life) was recognised for its balance of accessibility and quality, elevating everyday journeys and highlighting lesser-known voices. The judges praised the section for guiding readers to lesser-known destinations and telling stories with heart.

PR Lifetime Achievement
Jennifer Dembitz (Upcycle Communications) received the PR Lifetime Achievement Award for her outstanding contributions to PR in travel and hospitality. The judges praised her as someone who is widely respected by media and PR peers, and who has helped to elevate the industry.
PR Professional of the Year
Dan Schacter (Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok at Chao Phraya River) was recognised as PR Professional of the Year for being a communications strategist who knows how to translate hospitality into compelling stories.
PR Team of the Year
Four Seasons Resorts Thailand won PR Team of the Year for their responsiveness and creativity, described by judges as a team that is always ready to support travel writers, content creators and partners.
The Awards were independently judged by a panel of leading editors, journalists and communications experts, ensuring integrity, diversity and excellence in the final selections.
