In 2012 Farah and I travelled in Sri Lanka. On one leg we took the train from Colombo through Peradeniya Junction near Kandy and on up to the magnificent highlands with their pretty tea plantations. From there we caught the bus down to the coast and then meandered back up the coast to Colombo before catching our flight back to Singapore. These are just some of the pictures of the train trip where we went through places with such wonderful names as Talawakelle and Rambukkana. Don't forget that these pictures were taken in December 2012, so it might not quite look the same now.
