1. The Fullerton Hotel Singapore - Heritage Peranankan Cuisine with Li Nan Xing

Veteran Singapore actor and passionate home cook Li Nan Xing swaps the small screen for the buffet line at Town Restaurant, sharing seven local dishes drawn from his own treasured family Peranankan recipes. 

Highlights include his Bak Kut Teh with Black Garlic and Crispy Seafood Cake, served with LNX chilli and lemon citrus dipping sauces at the live station, plus Peranakan classics like Nyonya Beef Rendang, Kampung Curry Chicken, Signature Assam Pedas and Homestyle Nyonya Chap Chye. 

Tuck into hawker favourites reimagined by the culinary team: think 'Meltique' Beef Striploin inspired by Ayam Percik, Roti John, and Blue Pea Flower Nasi Lemak, finishing with a reimagined Bubur Cha Cha and the famed Fullerton Hotel dessert and cake selection. Prices start from $49++ per child to $98++ per adult, (Tue–Sat, 6.30pm to 10pm).

Running 1 July to 9 August, the celebrity himself will be there to serve dishes from 7 to 9 August.

2. Swissôtel The Stamford CLOVE - Singapore favourite local dishes and international buffet 

CLOVE unveils a refreshed international buffet celebrating Singapore's popular local dishes and vibrant dining culture alongside flavours from around the world, with premium seafood, interactive live stations and international classics.

Guests can indulge in Seafood on Ice featuring fresh seasonal oysters, prawns, clams, mussels and half shell scallops before exploring interactive stations including DIY Rojak, Chicken Rice, Laksa and Yong Tau Foo. 

Popular dishes like Singapore Chilli Crab, Charred Stingray and Assorted Grilled Satay are complemented by carvings including Roasted Australian Ribeye and Roasted Australian Striploin, alongside an extensive selection of international dishes. Desserts complete the experience with Ondeh Ondeh, Peranakan Nyonya Kueh, Purple Rice Pulut Hitam and CLOVE's signature Swiss Chocolate Cake. 

The refreshed buffet is available from 9 August 2026, with lunch priced from S$80++ per adult and dinner from S$98++ per adult, while the weekend buffet featuring Boston Lobster is available from S$130++ per adult.

3. Jack's Place Singapore Sharing Platter and Charity Buffet Dinner

The homegrown steakhouse turns 60 this year, and it's celebrating with a July-August menu that fuses Western technique with local soul, recommended by celebrity chef Eric Teo. 

The sharing platters are the move: the Singapore Sharing Platter with Cereal Prawns ($40.80 à la carte / $63.80 Set for 2) piles on sambal grilled dory, chicken satay with peanut gravy, orh-luak with chinchalok chilli, and fragrant coconut rice. 

Feeling indulgent? Trade up to the Deluxe Sharing Platter with Whole Lobster Feast ($60.80 / $83.80 Set). Solo diners get the N.Z. Tenderloin Steak with Chicken Satay ($33.80), Grandma's Beef Ragoût Spaghetti ($18.80), or Hainanese Chicken Cutlet ($16.80).  

On 31 July, the Bras Basah outlet hosted a charity buffet dinner ($100 nett), with 100% of proceeds going to The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund which was sold out almost immediately.

4. Tiger Beer National Day Experiences

5. Délifrance cafe - Singapore Beef Rendang Pie & Milo Dinosaur Frappe

The French café chain is going full Singaporean this National Day.

The headline act is the Beef Rendang Pie ($9.50), which tucks rich, aromatic rendang inside Délifrance's signature buttery pastry. Wash it down with a selection of Milo frappes – the classic Milo Dinosaur Frappe, a fruity Strawberry Milo Frappe and a tropical Coconut Milo Frappe.

The limited-time halal menu is available from 15 July to 15 September across all Délifrance cafés, so you've got a decent runway to work through the list.

6. Chick-fil-A at Millenia Walk - 2nd restaurant in Asia  

The American chicken burger chain's second Singapore outpost by franchise owner Deborah Ku officially opened on 30 July.

Did you notice Chick-fil-A corporate colours are red and white?  

In time for Singapore National Day celebration, Chick-fil-A Millenia Walk serve popular American Fast Food chicken sandwiches, nuggets, waffle potato fries, alongside with specialty dipping sauces and Singapore Exclusive Spicy chilli sauce, frosted lemonade and coffee, coffee brewed with 100% Brazilian Cerrado Beans, Americano and Latte.  

The contemporary designed restaurant showcases a wooden feature wall with Singapore Landmarks - Gardens by the Bay, Marina Bay Sands and Singapore Flyer. An al fresco dining area will open soon. 

A $25,000 donation to The Food Bank Singapore's tertiary student food support initiative was made as part of the new outlet opening, some feel-good factor built in.

 7. Bibik Violet Great World - Peranankan home cooked flavours, kuehs and cakes

Singapore legendary Chef Violet Oon Group's new all-day Peranakan café, its second home after the Temasek Shophouse original at Dhoby Ghaut is one of the tastiest reasons to head into River Valley this August.

The 74-seater at Great World does mornings with Kaya Toast, Hae Bee Hiam Toast and Mee Siam; midday brings Nyonya Laksa, Prawn Mee, Nasi Lemak and Chicken Satay ; tea time with lovely kuehs and cakes ; and dinner is all about Peranakan classics like Buah Keluak Soft Rib, Babi Pongteh and Ayam Goreng Berempah. 

The local kuehs and cakes are made daily and the selection varies - Try the black sesame or purple yam Angku Kueh, pineapple upside down cake, pandan and gula melaka chiffon cake and rum balls.

Time your visit with durian season: three exclusive desserts (Durian Chendol, Sago Gula Melaka with Durian, and Pulut Tai Tai with Durian Kaya) run until 31 August. 

Bonus: $1 kopi or teh between 3pm and 5pm daily until 31 August, only at Great World.

8. Gyukatsu Kyoto Katsugyu  Parkway Parade -  A5 Miyazaki Sirloin, Tenderloin and Beef Tongue

Beef cutlet lovers in the East, rejoice: Japan's largest gyukatsu specialty chain has finally opened its third Singapore outlet at Parkway Parade. 

The Sirloin Gyukatsu Zen starts at a wallet-friendly $25++ (add another cutlet for $40), and every set comes with free-flow rice, cabbage, aka miso soup and a lineup of condiments (Kyoto-style curry, dashi soy, onsen egg, sansho pepper salt) so you can dress your cutlet six ways.

Feeling fancy? The A5 Miyazaki Sirloin Gyukatsu Zen ($55) served medium rare is next-level. Family-friendly bonus: kids under 10 dine free on Mondays to Thursdays (11am–4pm) with orders of any two Zen sets, only at Parkway Parade.
