Pan Pacific Hotels Group Officially Presented 25,000 Complimentary Stay Vouchers to Healthcare Employees of Three Healthcare Groups
(Singapore, 25 September 2020) Pan Pacific Hotels Group (PPHG) presented 25,000 complimentary stay vouchers to three national healthcare groups on September 24, 2020 in honour of Singapore’s healthcare heroes’ dedication to the nation during the COVID-19 pandemic. This was timely as it was eight months before, on 23 January 2020 when Singapore confirmed its first case of COVID-19.
As a tribute to their sacrifices in combating the virus, healthcare workers are invited to enjoy a well-deserved respite with their loved ones at any of the Group’s six hotels in Singapore from December 1, 2020 to March 31, 2021.

Keeping to the spirit of COVID-19 restrictions, the vouchers were presented by Mr. Choe Peng Sum, Chief Executive Officer of Pan Pacific Hotels Group to each of the healthcare group representatives at three intimate, separate ceremonial events.
Representatives who were present at the events include Professor Fong Kok Yong, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of SingHealth, Professor Philip Choo, Chief Executive Officer of National Healthcare Group and Professor Yeoh Khay Guan, Chief Executive of National University Health System.

Mr Choe Peng Sum said at the ceremony, "Looking after our guests, associates and the community has always been at the heart of what we do. We deeply appreciate the efforts and sacrifices of Singapore’s healthcare heroes who put in the extra hours and bear the risk being infected as they remain committed to care for their patients. These vouchers serve as our token of appreciation for their exceptional spirit and service to the nation and community through this crisis.”
Professor Yeoh Khay Guan, Chief Executive of the National University Health System (NUHS), said “On behalf of our colleagues at NUHS, I would like to thank the Pan Pacific Hotels Group for leading this effort to support our healthcare workers. Over the past few months, healthcare workers have received an outpouring of support from the community, and that has helped many of my colleagues at the frontline get through this difficult period. We want to take care of our staff as we continue the fight against COVID-19, and this respite package comes at the perfect time. We encourage them to take a break to spend quality time with their family and loved ones – a simple joy which they have had little of in recent months.”
