Terrace Wing – King Bed Premium with Garden Access

(Singapore) Grand Hyatt Singapore is slated to welcome guests back on 10 July 2024 as it unveils the first phase of its multi-year transformation. The Terrace Wing will offer leisure and business travellers new, tranquil spaces, alongside lush gardens and cascading waterfalls in the iconic Orchard Road district. The reimagined urban sanctuary will present experiences that are grounded in sustainability and wellness to further care for modern travellers.

The progressive reopening starts with the nature-inspired Terrace Wing alongside an enhanced Fitness Centre and a 25-metre lap pool, StraitsKitchen for local ethnic cuisine, and BRIX, the vibrant nightlife hotspot. 10|Scotts will operate as Grand Club Lounge until early 2025 while all 16 event spaces will also be available to host magnificent celebrations and memorable events. The latter part of 2024 will see the highly anticipated Southeast Asian debut of Le Pristine Singapore, in collaboration with Michelin-starred chef Sergio Herman, taking over the space formerly occupied by the celebrated mezza9. The popular Martini Bar will be making a return along with classic Italian favourites at Pete’s Place and poolside dining at Oasis. Damai, the hotel’s wellness hub with enhanced holistic well-being experiences, will be ready to welcome guests too.

When the Grand Wing reopens in early 2025, the hotel will complete its evolution into a Grand Living Room and Wellness Haven with 699 guestrooms and suites, providing diverse spaces for guests to gather, celebrate as well as be rejuvenated.

“As we embark on this new chapter, we are excited to welcome guests to enjoy the elevated and captivating moments that this iconic hotel has been known for more than five decades. We also look forward to unveiling fresh, energising experiences that have been thoughtfully curated by our trusted team as we continue to deliver Grand Hyatt Singapore’s hallmark service from the heart,” said Mr. Willi Martin, Area Vice President for Southeast Asia and General Manager of Grand Hyatt Singapore

A Garden Oasis Away from the Bustling Crowd

Jointly designed by Tokyo-based Strickland and NAO Taniyama, as well as U.K.-based landscape architecture practice Grant Associates, the transformed Terrace Wing will offer a secluded world for immersion in nature. At its heart is a meandering tropical garden with waterfalls accented with refreshed wellness facilities including a 24-hour Fitness Centre, a 25-metre lap swimming pool, and an outdoor lawn area, where guests can partake in guided meditation, yoga, pilates, and boot camps.

Reflecting Singapore’s identity as a “City in Nature”, all 292 Terrace Wing rooms feature soothing neutral tones with ice-green marble accents while elegant wooden furnishings in the living area evoke a resort ambience. Starting from 42sqm, among the largest in Orchard Road, the guestrooms feature thoughtful modern sensibilities, including a cosy daybed in the window alcove, dual-sink vanity, and a functional multi-purpose table. The five newly created 1 King Bed Premium with Garden Access guestrooms will offer direct access to the gardens and pools, ideal for those who enjoy lounging in the sun. The three well-appointed Presidential Suites, each spanning 252 square metres of space with dedicated living, entertaining, and dining areas, are perfect for hosting exclusive private events or simply for indulging in luxurious relaxation.

Refined Epicurean Indulgence

Guided by Hyatt’s food philosophy, “Food. Thoughtfully Sourced. Carefully Served”, Grand Hyatt Singapore will continue to deliver grand gourmet experiences that will feature new, diverse menus inspired by global and local cuisines.

i.             StraitsKitchen

Renowned for its vibrant, marketplace ambience and extensive array of uniquely Singaporean specialties made fresh in show kitchens, StraitsKitchen will return with refreshed interiors and perfected menus. The halal-certified kitchen will feature all-time favourites, such as chilli crab, laksa, butter chicken, satay plus beverages like teh tarik.

ii.            BRIX

A lively underground nightspot, the bar features three different sections – Main Bar, Wine Bar, and Whisky Bar, where guests can enjoy live renditions of popular repertoires and modern hits from an international band.

iii.           10|Scotts

With the new Grand Club Lounge to be unveiled in 2025, World of Hyatt Globalists and guests staying in club-access rooms can enjoy complimentary afternoon teas, snacks, and small bites at 10|Scotts. The residential-style lounge on the hotel lobby level is also ideal for business meetings and casual gatherings.

Oasis will reopen in August 2024, featuring all-day poolside dining on Orchard Road with BBQ, cocktails, and live DJ music. Pete’s Place, a beloved icon since 1973, will return with its classic Italian cuisine of familiar comforts. Debuting in October 2024, Le Pristine Singapore presents Chef Sergio Herman's Michelin-starred contemporary cuisine with Zeeland influences, complemented by a revamped Martini Bar.

Sustainability Efforts

Grand Hyatt Singapore has led the way in sustainable hospitality in Singapore since 2002. The hotel will operate on 100 percent renewable electricity, partnering with local retailer, FLO Energy, by utilising Renewable Energy Certificates to offset its electricity consumption. The hotel’s in-house food waste management plant will be enhanced to feature a contactless WasteMaster automated system, converting excess food efficiently to support eco-friendly initiatives. The new automated in-house water bottling plant provides purified water in reusable glass bottles, alongside drinking water faucets in suites and premium rooms, reducing plastic waste.
