(Singapore, August 28, 2025) Many events take place every month at the two vibrant locations of the Singapore Art Museum. This month’s highlights include:

SAM Contemporaries: How To Dream Worlds – An exhibition exploring perspectives towards dreaming. Accompanying programmes include poetry readings, walking tours and more, inviting visitors to delve deeper into the artists’ emerging practices.

Undercurrents: Voices of SAM Contemporaries brings together the artists and curators of SAM Contemporaries: How To Dream Worlds across a series of six pop-up internet radio sessions, each featuring one artist in conversation with their paired curator(s) and/or collaborator(s). This series underscores the exploratory nature of SAM Contemporaries as a commissioning platform for emerging practices and seeks to bring a more informal and personal touch to audiences' understanding of the artists behind the works.

Talking Objects and The Living Room – Presented in parallel, these two exhibitions reflect on how art is carried through time and space.

A Weekend with SAM – Two days of performances and conversations with the artists and curators in celebration of the opening of Talking Objects and The Living Room.

This Little Red Dot... (2025) - My Everyday in Singapore – A showcase featuring 60 diverse artworks exploring the personal stories that shape our shared Singaporean identity.

Secrets, Sand and Stories is a two-part programme that comprises an artist sharing followed by a workshop led by NEO_ARTEFACTS (Fazleen Karlan)—with a twist. As an extension of the interactive nature of her installation Secrets, Sweat and Sand (2025) unveiled at SAM Contemporaries: How To Dream Worlds, participants are invited to dress up as characters within the work. bring a more informal and personal touch to audiences' understanding of the artists behind the works.

New Access Initiatives at SAM – SAM is making the museum experience more accessible through new tactile exhibition maps and a calm space for those in need of a sensory break.

A Weekend with The Everyday Museum: Subtle Dwellings – The Everyday Museum presents a series of programmes centered around their ongoing art commissions, from fun workshops to design challenges.

Public Art Tours – Guided tours exploring SAM’s public art commissions around the Tanjong Pagar Distripark and Rail Corridor areas.

Open Call: Singapore Biennale Ambassadors – The highly-anticipated Singapore Biennale 2025 is calling for Ambassadors to be part of the Biennale community and contribute to this vibrant cultural event.
