Singapore, 27 May 2015 –The TreadRight Foundation, a not-for-profit initiative supported by The Travel Corporation’s family of brands, is proud to announce that it has named Céline Cousteau (pictured) as TreadRight Ambassador.

A leading environmentalist, adventurer and explorer, Céline Cousteau is the ideal ambassador, one who truly embodies the TreadRight philosophy. As a documentary filmmaker and gifted storyteller, Cousteau has travelled the world working to help amplify the voices of the amazing individuals who are working to protect ecosystems, wildlife and people.

“I’m truly honored to have been named TreadRight Ambassador since I’ve had the opportunity to work closely with the foundation over the past few years, having partnered with Contiki Cares and as a TreadRight Steering Committee member,” says Cousteau. “We are very much aligned in our goals of promoting and encouraging sustainability and responsible tourism and I look forward to the work we will be able to together.”

As an accomplished storyteller and passionate humanitarian, Cousteau’s work has inspired countless individuals to forge a deep connection with the world they are exploring, an endeavour thoroughly in line with TreadRight’s own mission.

In her role as TreadRight Ambassador, Cousteau will assist in communicating the TreadRight mission while telling the stories of the many sustainability project partners TreadRight helps to support around the world, including it’s efforts to support global artisans through the TreadRight Heritage Initiative, and it’s work to stem Rhino poaching through the TreadRight Wildlife Initiative.
