(SINGAPORE, 26 JUNE 2020) The National Museum of Singapore has resumed operations today, a week after Singapore moved into Phase Two: Safe Transition. Ms Chung May Khuen, Director of the National Museum of Singapore, was at the museum to welcome visitors back.

Ms Chung said: “We are excited to welcome our visitors back to the museum today! My team has been working tirelessly to ensure our national monument building and collection are in pristine condition while our museum was closed. We have stepped up our preparation efforts recently – from carrying out routine checks and maintenance works in the galleries, to ensuring the cleanliness of our facilities – so that everyone will have a safe and enjoyable visit as they did before. We’ve enjoyed engaging with our visitors online through our digital programmes and activities and will continue to do so as we ease into a new normal at the museum.”

The museum reopened its doors in adherence to safe management measures to ensure the well-being of visitors and staff. The full list of measures may be found in this advisory by the National Heritage Board.

Visitors complete the SafeEntry check-in and undergo temperature screening before entering the museum  

Visitors collect their tickets. Online ticket purchase and e-payment methods are encouraged to minimise physical contact
