Celebrate A Disney Christmas and be part of Mickey Mouse’s 90th anniversary with the World’s Biggest Mouse Party

(Singapore, October 23, 2018) The festive season will be doubly special at Hong Kong Disneyland Resort (HKDL) this year as the resort celebrates both a classic Disney Christmas as well as Mickey Mouse’s 90th anniversary! The park will be transformed into a stunning winter wonderland from November 15, 2018 to January 1, 2019, enchanting guests with the festive “Mickey and Friends Christmastime Ball” and the brand-new “Fantasy Gardens Wintertime Market”, complete with shimmering snowflakes, yuletide carols and a brand new Christmas tree, adorned with beautiful new ornaments and LED lights, for “A Holiday Wish-Come-True Tree” Lighting Ceremony. 

Turning this special occasion into the celebration of a lifetime, HKDL will also commemorate Mickey Mouse's 90th anniversary with the “World’s Biggest Mouse Party” from November 7, 2018 to February 2019. The celebration will include the enhanced “We Love Mickey!” projection show, featuring brand-new celebration costumes for Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse, a new admission ticket design, exclusive merchandise, special food & beverage and a special themed-room decoration package. 

Winter wonderland infused with Disney magic 

Everything guests love about “A Disney Christmas” will be even more elevated and refined this year at HKDL, from day to night. Step into a winter wonderland on Main Street, U.S.A., with authentic Christmas sights and sounds! Guests will see brand-new decorations with every step, culminating at the new Castle Hub stage, where the daytime musical extravaganza, "Mickey and Friends Christmastime Ball," will return on a Picture 2brand-new stage. Get into the festive mood with energetic dancers and quartet singers, before Mickey and his friends take the stage in their finest holiday costumes for a special snowfall moment! Cookie, Duffy’s new friend, will join her first Christmas party, do not miss taking photos with the lovely puppy in her Christmas costume. 

Christmas would not be complete without some special holiday wishes from your beloved Disney friends! Guests can meet Mickey and friends in their best holiday finery. Swing by to say hello to Santa Goofy at the Christmas Post Office on Main Street, U.S.A. Be sure to meet Cookie, alongside her friends, Duffy, ShellieMay, Gelatoni and StellaLou, as they unveil their special winter outfits for the season. 

Over in Fantasyland, the whimsical Fantasy Gardens will be transformed into an enchanting “Fantasy Gardens Wintertime Market” for the first time ever. Here, guests can find gifts for loved ones and enjoy seasonal treats. Beautifully decorated with oversized holiday decorations and sparkling lights, the holiday-themed market makes the perfect backdrop for Christmas photos with friends and family. As guests explore the market, they may even catch glimpses of a magical snowfall – making the visit even more memorable! 

When evening descends, the brand-new, gorgeously-decorated Christmas tree, adorned with beautiful new ornaments and embedded with LED lights, will serve as a true icon of the season! During A Magical Twilight Snowfall, festive performers will parade into Town Square with illuminated lanterns and welcome the first flurry of snowflakes with Mickey and friends. The night brightens even more with "A Holiday Wish-Come-True" Tree Lighting Ceremony. Gather with friends and loved ones on Main Street, U.S.A. for a joyful moment as sparkling lights illuminate the majestic Christmas tree and Train Station, transforming the park into a breathtaking winter wonderland. 

Larger-than-life celebration for a larger-than-life Mouse begins in November 

Mickey’s birthday is coming up, and it will be a big one! To celebrate Mickey Mouse's 90th anniversary, the whole of HKDL will be partaking in the World's Biggest Mouse Party, with a rich line-up of exuberant resort-wide offerings between November 7, 2018 and February 2019. To complement the celebration, four designs of park admission tickets, featuring Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Pluto. Guests visiting on Mickey’s birthday on November 18 and onward, will even receive special birthday stickers! 

Get ready for the night party, in which Minnie invites her pals to a surprise celebration for the one-and-only Mickey – with the heartwarming “We Love Mickey!” Projection Show Birthday Edition. This celebration features larger-than-life nighttime projections on the Main Street, U.S.A. buildings, paying tribute to Mickey’s major milestones. The artistic experience features Mickey’s memorable moments, his full-color heyday, and a crazy kaleidoscope of Mickey in modern styles. These iconic images of Mickey will be played out over four chapters along Main Street, U.S.A. Do not forget to share your applause to surprise Mickey himself, who will appear in person, dressed in his new birthday costume, together with Minnie, for this special occasion beginning November 18. 

Festive treats throughout the resort 

More than 80 holiday-inspired food and beverage options will be available across the resort. Christmas treats such as the new Mickey and Minnie-themed marshmallow and crispy rice lollipops will be perfect for a quick bite. For a special dining experience, head over to Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel for Walt's Cafe Christmas afternoon tea or dinner sets.  Take a sip of the all-new holiday beverages including Mickey’s Fun Party for strawberry lovers, and Iced Chocolate Cheese Cake for chocolate fanatics.

For Mickey fans, over 45 new treats will be introduced to celebrate Mickey Mouse's 90th anniversary. Spice up your dining experience with the Mickey Mouse Happy Birthday Dinner Buffet at the Chef Mickey restaurant in Disney’s Hollywood Hotel, available only from November 7 to November 18. Guests of all ages will love the selection of exquisite desserts and have fun capturing their joyful memories with a Mickey-themed photo frame and a variety of props!  

What is more, exclusively available at HKDL, guests can bring home a Mickey Sip Sip commemorative cup at the outdoor vending carts or at designated dining venues throughout the park, upon ordering specific menus. 

Elaborate Disney gifts for unparalleled Christmas shopping 

With over 100 seasonal items for Christmas on offer, guests are sure to be able to find the perfect gifts to bring home. Holiday-themed merchandise includes special items featuring iconic Disney characters in their Christmas attire, and Disney character-themed Christmas ornaments. Guests can even create their own holiday cards with a new custom kit. 

Over 50 special merchandise items will be launched for Mickey Mouse’s 90th anniversary. HKDL-designed items will be available exclusively at the resort, including a headband and keychains featuring Mickey celebrating his birthday. Also, on offer is an 18-inch Mickey plush toy with a commemorative "World's Biggest Mouse Party" tag and the HKDL logo, as well as a selection of anniversary themed stationery and apparel.

The Christmas cheer is spreading from the park to all three resort hotels!  Guests staying during the holiday season will enjoy a collectible souvenir set in each room, including an amenities box, Disney slippers and a door sticker.
