(Singapore – 21 October 2026) YOTEL, the global hospitality brand known for its design-led, tech-enabled hotels, is embarking on a significant expansion of its portfolio in Asia Pacific, in line with rising demand from a new generation of guests– highly mobile international travellers who crave convenience, connectivity and value-led stays in vibrant gateway cities.

Founded in London in 2007, YOTEL now operates 24 hotels worldwide. From New York, Washington DC and San Francisco in the USA to Amsterdam, Edinburgh and Istanbul in Europe, and Tokyo, Singapore and Bangkok in Asia, the group spans some of the world’s most iconic cities. And with airport hotels at Singapore Changi, Paris Charles de Gaulle, Amsterdam Schiphol, Istanbul and London Gatwick, YOTEL is making travel smoother and simpler.

Asian Cities to Drive Global Growth

Now, YOTEL is embarking on a global expansion strategy that could triple its worldwide portfolio. Asia Pacific is at the heart of this strategy; YOTEL recently made its debut in Thailand with the opening of YOTEL Bangkok Sukhumvit in October 2026, and is set to arrive in Malaysia with YOTEL Kuala Lumpur City Centre in early 2027. These become the fourth and fifth YOTELs in Asia, following YOTEL Tokyo Ginza, YOTEL Singapore Orchard Road and YOTELAIR Singapore Changi Airport.

Overall, the company sees the potential for ground up, hotel conversions and adaptive re-use projects for all three of its brands across the Asia Pacific region: YOTEL, city centre hotels that combine modern design and smart tech; YOTELPAD, which is intended for longer stays in urban areas and resorts; and YOTELAIR, an airport hotel concept for early flyers and late landers.

Strategic Agreement with Hilton

In March 2026, YOTEL signed an exclusive agreement with Hilton, becoming the first brand in the newly-established Select by Hilton. The collaboration means that YOTEL remains independent, while participating properties connect to the award-winning Hilton Honors loyalty program and Hilton’s world-class distribution network.

Eleven hotels have completed the integration onto Hilton’s platforms, including YOTEL Bangkok Sukhumvit, and more hotels are expected to be available on Hilton’s channels by the end of the year.

The collaboration represents an emerging model for independent lifestyle brands to accelerate commercial growth by leveraging the scale of a global hospitality company while maintaining independent ownership, operations, and brand identity.

What Makes YOTEL Different?

Born from the spirit of aviation and with first-class airline travel as its inspiration, YOTEL challenges traditional hospitality with pioneering design and prime locations to deliver calm, connected stays that elevate travel.

YOTEL’s smart room design maximises the functionality of the footprint using space-saving furniture and the clever use of technology, while meeting the needs of both leisure and corporate travellers.

YOTEL rooms are purposefully designed to encourage quality sleep, from the reclining SmartBed™ that turns from a couch to a bed at the touch of a button, to black-out blinds and mood lighting to deliver reliable rest. In research conducted by YOTEL in 2025, one in three guests said they choose YOTEL for the quality of sleep they get during their stay.

Every YOTEL room also features a rain shower and Urban Jungle amenities, a Smart TV that lets guests stream content from their own devices, and multiple power and USB points.

Intelligent solutions, including heating, lighting, and cooling systems, also help to drive sustainability and YOTEL strives to achieve LEED Gold certification for all its new-build projects. True to YOTEL’s innovative spirit, many hotels use robots to enhance the guest experience.

Whether handling luggage like YOBOT at YOTEL New York or delivering amenities to rooms, like Yoshi and Yolanda at YOTEL Singapore Orchard Road, these robots free up human crews to get on with more important jobs, such as spending time with guests.

Dining and Socialising at the Heart of the Experience

YOTEL understands that life’s most meaningful social interactions occur over food and drinks, so it has developed intuitive F&B concepts that encourage people to come together.

Komyuniti, which can be found across Asia, is a multi-functional space that serves as the central hub of the hotel, while Vela is a casual full-service restaurant that celebrates local fare and global flavours, and Deck is a vibrant outdoor space – often on a rooftop or by the water.

Who Stays at YOTEL?

YOTEL welcomes a wide range of guests from all nationalities and age groups, whether travelling for leisure, business or both. Hard-working but social, tech-savvy but not glued to their screens, YOTEL guests are modern, time-aware travellers who are digitally fluent and seek affordable, smart accommodation in convenient locations. They are digital natives who are able to work on the move and need seamless connectivity.

Phil Andreopoulos, CEO at YOTEL, said: “Asia Pacific offers great opportunities for YOTEL. The rise of low-cost airlines and simplified visa regulations has led to a surge in intra-Asian travel and created strong momentum for short-stay trips. The success of our properties in Singapore and Tokyo – and early indications from Bangkok – show that YOTEL’s vision of smart, lifestyle-focused hospitality is resounding with the region’s travellers. What’s more, our new agreement with Hilton brings unmatched global distribution and loyalty scale to our brand and business. We look forward to introducing YOTEL to more of the region’s most dynamic gateway cities in future, with Kuala Lumpur coming next.”
