Orh Gao Peh Gao Debuts All-Day Concept at New Bahru with Asian Comfort Food and an All-Local Craft Beer Line-Up
Evolving from its Serene Centre day-to-night format, the cult-favourite taproom introduces a unified all-day concept at New Bahru’s Factory Block Food Hall, with breakfast from 9:00am, new Asian-inspired dishes, and 14 taps dedicated to Singapore craft breweries.
(Singapore, 21 May 2026) Orh Gao Peh Gao has opened at New Bahru’s Factory Block Food Hall, debuting a new all-day expression of the brand in River Valley, marking a new evolution for the neighbourhood brand known for bringing together local coffeeshop culture, Asian comfort food and craft beer.

Unlike it s original Serene Centre location, where Peh Gao Coffeeshop operates by day and Orh Gao Taproom takes over in the evening, the New Bahru outpost brings both identities together under one all-day concept. As the only kiosk in New Bahru’s Factory Block Food Hall to serve breakfast, it opens from 9:00am with a dedicated morning menu before moving into its full offering from 11:00am, spanning rice and noodle dishes, shareable plates and a 14-line tap programme dedicated entirely to Singapore craft breweries.
Food is available until 9:00pm, while craft beers continue pouring until 11:00pm. The New Bahru menu expands the brand’s familiar Asian comfort food approach with new dishes created for the all-day format, alongside a selection of signatures that regulars will recognise from Serene Centre.
A highlight on the new menu is the Hokkien Mee Tai Mak ($18+), which reworks a familiar local favourite around the soft, chewy texture of mee tai mak, bringing together the savoury depth of housemade stock with the quintessential combination of tiger prawns, fish cake, pork lard and sambal belachan, topped with spring onion and calamansi, offering the richness of Hokkien mee in a form that feels playful, hearty and distinctly Orh Gao Peh Gao.
Fried rice also gets the Orh Gao Peh Gao treatment at New Bahru, taking a familiar local comfort staple and layering it with bigger flavour. The Pork Chop Fried Rice ($12+) pairs wok-fired egg fried rice with a charred five-spice pork chop, spring onions and hae bee hiam, adding savoury depth and aromatic spice to the dish while Tobiko Prawn Fried Rice ($12+) builds on the same wok-fired base with succulent tiger prawns, tobiko, spring onions and sambal, adding sweetness, brine and a satisfying pop of texture to each spoonful.

The new Chicken Skewers ($13+) feature flavourful marinated chicken chunks, served with Orh Gao’s signature sambal with added mayo for a lighter but supremely flavour-forward plate while the Chicken Skewer Salad ($13+) gives the same marinated chicken a Vietnamese-style spin, tossed with fresh greens, peanuts and chilli garlic dressing.
Also new is the Chimichurri Pork Chop ($15+), where a five-spice pork chop is finished with Asian chimichurri and calamansi. The herbaceous dressing and citrus cut through the richness of the meat, making it a natural fit for sharing over drinks. Peh Gao’s kaya toast returns as a breakfast highlight, made with housemade kaya gently steamed with egg, pandan juice, sugar and coconut milk into a smooth, custard-like spread without preservatives. Fragrant with pandan and rich without being cloying, the kaya is served in Kaya Butter ($2.80+) and Kaya Peanut Butter ($2.80+), while other toast options include Sugar Butter ($2.80+), Peanut Butter ($2.80+) and Nutella ($2.80+) toasts, available on their own or as part of a breakfast set with classic local beverages.

Other familiar plates include the signature Kra Pow Mee Tai Mak ($14+), Crab Fried Rice ($16+), Crunchy Chicken Cartilage ($11+), Har Cheong Gai ($11+), Gao Vinegar Fries ($9+), Tofu Dip + Chips ($10+), Curry Mussels ($19+), Sotong Bakar ($18+) and Gao Gai Lan ($11+).
An All-Local Craft Beer Programme Orh Gao Peh Gao’s New Bahru bar pours from 14 rotating taps dedicated entirely to Singapore craft breweries, placing local brewers at the centre of the experience. The line-up spans crisp lagers, IPAs, sours, stouts and seasonal releases, with weekly rotations that move between easy-drinking crowd favourites and more exploratory styles.
Local breweries on regular rotation include Brewlander, Alive Brewing, Ren Min and Sunbird Brewery, with the selection refreshed regularly and occasional exclusive drops planned. For guests, the all-local programme offers a focused way to discover Singapore’s craft beer scene within New Bahru, whether they are easing in with a lager or looking for something more unexpected.
Beyond beer, the drinks menu includes cocktails, sake and the all-new Kaya Toast Cocktail ($18+), a playful extension of the brand’s coffeeshop roots into its bar programme, with fragrant, nutty pandan-infused whisky tempered with creamy coconut cream, and sweetened with gula melaka, which imparts a complex, deep sweetness reminiscent of the kaya jam itself. The result is a surprisingly balanced cocktail that captures the comforting, familiar flavours of kaya toast in a liquid format.

To mark the brand’s 7th anniversary, Orh Gao has partnered with Rocky Ridge Brewing Co. to release a collaboration brew named Seven Hop Masters ($19+), now pouring on tap at the New Bahru kiosk. Slightly hazy in appearance, the beer opens with fragrant notes of jasmine, lavender and white peach on the nose, before giving way to a crisp, citrus-forward finish with a clean, dry edge.
For daytime and alcohol free options, new additions include Cold-Pressed Juices ($7+) in orange and berry, Kombucha ($6+) in ginger lemon and apple crisp, Organic Sugar-Free Flavoured Sodas ($6+) in yuzu and guava, and Coconut Water ($6+), alongside the usual suspects of kopi and teh.
A New Chapter for a Neighbourhood Favourite Picture: Orh Gao Peh Gao Kiosk at New Bahru Food Hall The New Bahru opening reflects Orh Gao Peh Gao’s evolution from a neighbourhood craft beer bar into a broader local dining and drinking concept designed around food, beer and community.
Since opening at Serene Centre, the brand has grown through programming from collaborative brews and brewer-led sessions to tap takeovers, run clubs, kitchen takeovers and comedy nights. At New Bahru, this spirit continues through a refreshed events calendar designed to give guests more reasons to return beyond food and drinks.
A community event is planned to celebrate Orh Gao Peh Gao’s official opening at New Bahru in early July and more monthly events in the works. Details will be announced across Orh Gao's channels.
