(Singapore, 12 June 2024) Rum & Roll Rendezvous presents a weekend of extravagant delight, appreciation and education. Set against the background of InterContinental Singapore and co-hosted by The Rum Cartel, the inaugural festival celebrates the spirit of Havana, and brings together esteemed rum vendors to showcase their exquisite products from Friday to Sunday, 26 to 28 July 2024. Additionally, there will be other displays showcasing a variety of accessories and enhancements for enthusiasts and connoisseurs to enjoy.
Held across three days, Rum & Roll Rendezvous offers an array of experiences alongside tasting opportunities where enthusiasts can savour both popular and vintage rums from brands such as Bacardi, Plantation Rum, Flor de Cana, Appleton Rum, Mount Gay, and Santa Teresa. Brand ambassadors and industry leaders will be stationed at the event, guiding guests through the robust flavour profiles of each rum. Guests will also have the opportunity to mingle with owners and distillers who are eager to share their passion and expertise. From smooth blends to bold aromas, guests will uncover a world of possibilities with each tasting experience.
Tasting aside, Rum & Roll Rendezvous will also feature a line-up of epicurean journeys and exciting parties by the pool and one located in a speakeasy along Hong Kong Street.
Day 1: The Extravaganza (Friday, 26 July 2024)
Rum & Roll Rendezvous kicks off on Friday, 26 July 2024 from 8pm to 11pm. Immerse in the sultry sounds of live Latin music, fiery dance moves, and a tantalising array of free-flowing rum cocktails, wines, and light bites. Tickets priced at $128++ offer access to rum tastings with Barcardi, masterclasses and an unforgettable evening.
Day 2 (Part 1): Rum & Roll Immersion (Saturday, 27 July 2024)
Guests are invited to embark on a hands-on rum adventure, with vendors presenting a carefully curated selection of the finest rums at individual booths for tastings starting 12pm onwards. For those eager to take their favourite bottles or cocktails home, purchases can be made on-site.
Adding to the excitement, four sessions of Rum Appreciation Masterclasses will take place at 12:30pm, 1pm, 1:30pm, and 2pm, located at The Lobby Lounge. Led by seasoned experts such as Issyam As'ari of Mount Gay, (pictured above) Symphony Loo of Appleton Rum, and Rob Scott of Flor de Cana, attendees will journey through the intricate process of rum production, from the sugarcane fields to the ageing barrels, gaining insight into how each unique method shapes the flavour of every rum variety. Whether a novice enthusiast or a seasoned connoisseur, guests will refine their ability to discern the subtle nuances of aroma, taste, and finish, enhancing their appreciation for this timeless spirit.
Tickets for the first part day's experience are priced at $68++, inclusive of a cocktail, light bites, and access to rum tastings and masterclasses.
Day 2 (Part 2): Rum and Roll to the Tropical Pool Party (Saturday, 27 July 2024)
As night descends, InterContinental Singapore beckons revellers to immerse themselves in the vibrant atmosphere of the Tropical Pool Party on 27 July 2024. Groove to lively tunes with a live DJ and take a refreshing dip in the hotel's inviting pool waters.
The Tropical Pool Party, running from 6 pm to 10 pm, is also priced at $68++. Ticket holders will enjoy a welcome drink, access to rum tastings, and the opportunity to indulge in a selection of delicious food and drinks available for purchase on-site.
Day 3: Champagne Brunch Buffet (Sunday, 28 July 2024)
The festivities wrap up with a sumptuous Rum & Roll Champagne Brunch Buffet experience at LUCE from 12pm. Brunch-goers can indulge in international flavours with a focus on Italian specialities while enjoying free-flowing rum cocktails, champagne, and wines — all to the upbeat tunes by a live DJ. Diners will also gain access to explore the collection of rums available for tastings.
Sunday Champagne Brunch Buffet at LUCE
Adult tickets are priced at $198++, with entry to masterclasses, while non-alcoholic options are available at $118++ for adults, $68++ for children aged 6 to 11 years old, and $38++ for 3 to 5 years old.
Cocktails at The Lobby Lounge
To take three-day celebrations to new heights, The Lobby Lounge will also be serving up three delicious rum-based cocktails priced at $20++ each from 26 to 28 July 2024. Offering a twist on the classic Daquiri, the New Day Daiquiri presents a shaken concoction of fresh lime and pineapple juice with Oloroso sherry and splash of Veritas – a balanced blend of three rums that brings notes of tropical fruit and vanilla to the fore. Cafè XO is a complex cocktail featuring Doorly’s XO rum with Mr Black Coffee Liqueur, sweet vermouth, a dash of absinthe and bitters. Lastly, the 17th Century Buck will captivate with its invigorating notes of citrus and ginger, mixed with aromatic splashes of Thai Mekhong and Venezuelan Santa Teresa 1796.
Two stay options are available for aficionados who wish to indulge in the full Rum & Roll Rendezvous experience: The Stay 3 Pay 2 package at InterContinental Singapore is great for those looking to attend the three-day long festival. Available at $430++ per night for a stay in a Classic Room, guests will get to immerse themselves in the ultimate Rum & Roll Rendezvous experience as they delight in the lavish amenities, complimentary breakfast, and access to the property’s world-class facilities.
Meanwhile, the Rum Retreat is specially designed for those looking for a one-night stay, complete with access to the day’s events of their choice. With this option, guests can check in on any day during the festival period to embark on their Caribbean-inspired getaway. Prices begin at $435++ per night in a Classic Room.

After-Party Extravaganza (26 and 27 July 2024)
Rum and Roll lovers keen to continue the night past 10pm, are invited to join an exclusive after-party featuring a live Cuban and Caribbean-influenced musical performance at Singapore’s very own El Pico, a hidden Cuban-inspired lounge at 6 Hong Kong Street. The party, which runs from 11pm till late, is priced at $25++ per person and includes transportation from the hotel and a welcome drink.

Rum & Roll Rendezvous will be held from 26 to 28 July 2024. Tickets purchased before 7 July 2024 will receive a 20% early-bird discount. Guests keen to attend both Saturday events on 27 July 2025 can get the Silver Ticket at $102++, while guests keen to attend all three days can purchase the Golden Ticket at $328++ (U.P. $462++), which includes entry to all four events. Bundle tickets are not subject to an early bird discount.
