(Singapore - October 18, 2018) The Sampan, a three-storey restaurant and bar with a soulful vibe at the heart of Boat Quay celebrated their official opening with a grand launch event last Friday. Founded by Steve Collinson, The Sampan focuses on bright and fresh flavours of Pan Asia in its menu. The grand launch event was attended by partners, family members, friends and other distinguished guests. Speaking at the event Steve Collinson, who has over two decades of managing F&B establishments around the globe, mentioned that The Sampan is an ode to the Singapore River's rich heritage as a bustling trading port back in the 90s and assures that patrons of The Sampan can look forward to a unique twist to the familiar Pan Asian flavours. Guests at the grand launch event were also given a taste of what The Sampan has to offer with a selection of canapes such as the Schezuan Pepper Chicken Spare Ribs and Pani Puri with Stracciatella and Curried Lentils. To complete the full Pan Asian flavour experience, guests also had the chance to try a tipple or two with The Sampan's signature cocktails like the White Sangria and Pandan Old Fashioned.An ode to the Singapore River’s rich heritage as a vibrant trading port in the 19th century. The three storey bar and restaurant is nestled among the hustle and bustle of cafes and restaurants along the riverside at Boat Quay. Highly influenced by the tantalizing flavours of Asia, The Sampan is an inspired interpretation of our favourite Asian eating experiences.
