Air Canada’s Singapore-Vancouver Direct Flights Celebrate First Anniversary Milestone

(16 April 2025, Singapore) This April marks the first anniversary of Air Canada’s direct Singapore -Vancouver (SIN-YVR) flights, celebrating a successful year of flights since its return to Singapore after 33 years. Since the launch in 2024, the route has strengthened connectivity between Singapore and Canada, as well as leveraged Singapore’s role as a key aviation hub to extend Air Canada’s network in Asia-Pacific.

Expanding Connections
Building on strong demand, Air Canada expanded the SIN-YVR route during the 2024-2025 winter peak season, adding a fifth weekly flight from 6 December 2024 to 28 March 2025. The airline has also grown its presence in Asia, increasing Shanghai-Vancouver flights to daily service and resuming daily non-stop flights between Beijing and Vancouver. Most recently, on 2 April 2025, Air Canada launched its first route to the Philippines, introducing nonstop Vancouver-Manila flights – its 12th destination in the Asia-Pacific region. As a key Pacific gateway, Vancouver offers seamless onward connections to 25 Canadian destinations at Air Canada's YVR Pacific hub.
