(Singapore) 15 July, 2026 - The Westin Singapore is inviting the public to join a 5km evening run around Marina Bay on Tuesday, 4 August, to mark its appointment as ‘Official Professional Field Hotel’ of the 2026 BYD Singapore International Marathon presented by adidas and its fourth consecutive year supporting the race.

Starting at 7:30pm, the 5km run is open to all and will be led by The Westin Singapore’s Run Concierge, Guo Pei, (left) alongside para-athletes, endurance runners, and disability advocates. The event is designed as an accessible show of support for the persons with disabilities community and as a visible kick-off to the hotel’s new wellness campaign centred on movement, resilience, and inclusion.

Endurance athlete Natalie Dau, para-athlete Gregory Pink, and Jason Leong of the Singapore Disability Sports Council front the campaign as ambassadors, alongside disability advocate and owner of Fire City Gym, Samuel Lim, and his visually impaired members Pei Pei and BK, who will also take part in this year’s BYD Singapore International Marathon presented by adidas.

Pink will compete in the 10km race, marking the first time he has participated using his prosthetic leg. Dau will race across all three categories - 10km, half marathon, and full marathon - while Pei Pei and BK will each take on the 10km, guided by Samuel Lim.

The run sits within a wider launch programme at The Westin Singapore on 4 August. From 6:00pm, guests will register and experience engagement touchpoints before the formal proceedings begin at 6.45pm with welcome remarks and an opening address by James Walkden, General Manager of The Westin Singapore (right). 

A campaign trailer will then premiere, followed by the unveiling of the ambassadors, a guest speaker segment with Gregory Burns, and a fireside conversation with Dau, Pink, and Leong on resilience, inclusion, and the role movement has played in their lives. Discover how running brings people of all abilities together, creating opportunities for everyone to participate, challenge themselves, and experience the power of movement.

To return now with para-athletes, advocates, and everyday runners for a shared 5km run feels like a natural progression of that relationship, and a powerful way to show that purposeful movement can belong to anyone who chooses to take that first step.”

The evening will conclude with a prize giveaway for two 10km race tickets to the 2026 BYD Singapore International Marathon presented by adidas, post-run refreshments, informal networking, and community engagement until 9.30pm. 

The launch forms the next chapter in the ongoing marathon campaign of The Westin Singapore, which will continue to spotlight personal stories, everyday achievements, and different pathways into movement as the city builds towards race day.
