Scoot and Tigerair Celebrate 50 Millionth Guest on Board!
guest receives tickets on all scoot’s inaugural flights in 2017
Singapore – Singaporean Mr Koh Yong Hong, 40, was in for a surprise as he checked in for his Scoot flight TZ206 from Singapore to Taipei the morning of March 15 at Changi Airport. Little did he know that he would be making history on his family vacation as Scoot and Tigerair’s 50 millionth guest. Mr Koh was heartily congratulated by the Scoot and Tigerair team and showered with presents courtesy of the airlines at a celebratory event at the flight’s gate hold room.
Mr Koh can look forward to living out the jetsetter’s dream as the fortunate recipient of two return flight tickets on all of Scoot’s inaugural flights in 2017 and five complimentary flight upgrades to ScootBiz within this year. He also has the option of inviting his family or friends on some of his travel adventures with SGD500 worth of Scoot travel vouchers. In addition, Mr Koh was presented with a special yellow box filled with goodies selected based on the popular vote of the Scoot, Tigerair and SGAG social media communities. This included 50 hours’ worth of WiFi, vouchers for 2 bottles of wine on board along with a cheeky gift of the 50 Shades of Grey book series. The celebratory mood continued in the air as guests enjoyed complimentary drinks on board Scoot’s B787 Dreamliner. Guests were also treated to a unique Scootitude experience on the flight as Scootees, Scoot’s vibrant and bubbly flight crew members, organised fun games on board.
“Scoot and Tigerair are both relatively young airlines, having been in operation for a total of only 18 years. Welcoming our 50 millionth guest within this short span of time is an impressive achievement for us. We are grateful for the support from our guests all these years and this celebration is a token of our appreciation. With our combined strength, we look forward to scaling greater heights in the years to come! We promise to provide even greater convenience, connectivity and value for our guests,” said Lee Lik Hsin, CEO of Scoot and Tigerair (pictured speaking).
“I was very surprised to find out I was the winner. We have never won such a big prize before. My favourite part of the prize is the chance experience ScootBiz,” said Mr Koh who was travelling with his family of five.
Mr Koh shared that his family takes Scoot quite regularly as the fares are reasonable. In addition, the flight timings are good, which is helpful as they usually travel with their young children. "Now that we have some flight vouchers, it's even better!"In celebration of this milestone, Scoot and Tigerair are offering attractive fares ranging from SGD49 to SGD299* for a one-way trip on economy class. Promotional fares also extend to ScootBiz, Scoot’s business class, which range from SGD129 to SGD 849* for one-way trips. Guests can enjoy an additional 10% off selected flights with travel periods ranging from mid-March to October 2017** with the promotion code SOARING.
