Located across the gorge from Nature's Window is an innovative tourism precinct and the National Park's newest attraction, the Kalbarri Skywalk.

Incredible new adventures and experiences await travellers to Western Australia (WA), following the announcement the State reopened its borders to travel on March 3, 2022.

One of Western Australia’s largest inbound markets pre-pandemic, Singapore has always been a key focus for Tourism Western Australia, who will be spending $1.5 million over the next 12 months on its Singapore marketing campaign. The campaign will be complemented by collaborations with distribution partners such as Chan Brothers, UOB Travel, Klook, Cheaptickets.com, and Singapore Airlines to promote a range of activities and experiences that
await Singapore residents in 2022.

From climbing the iconic Matagarup Bridge (above) in Perth to discovering the pristine coastline of Esperance from an aerial perspective, Western Australian businesses have been hard at work over the past two years, and with a diverse pipeline of new openings and experiences, travellers can look forward to bucket-list worthy adventures in Australia’s largest state in 2022. New to the sunny city of Perth, adrenaline junkies can zip into action at the newly opened Matagarup Bridge Zip + Climb. The bridge climb opened in January last year, followed by the zip line in December. The ultra-adventurous can climb up to the glass floor Sky View platform, 72 metres above Perth’s iconic Swan River, before making their way halfway down the bridge to the 400m long zip line.

Visitors to the capital of Western Australia can also spend the day with GoGo Active Tours, which offers bike and kayaking tours in and around Perth to see the sights only locals are privy. A range of tours are available, like the Foreshore and East Perth Bike Tour where they’ll visit wetlands, iconic buildings, the Optus Stadium precinct and Claisebrook Cove; or the Explore Canning River Wetlands Kayak Tour to discover the hidden gems of Perth via water.

For jaw-dropping views, head to the Kalbarri Skywalk, a six-hour drive north of Perth, where two exhilarating walkways hang over the Murchison River Gorge, approximately 100m above the Murchison River. Perched right on the cliff-top, visitors can enjoy spectacular views of the incredible red and white banded sandstone gorge and its surrounding environment.

A new addition to the National Park in 2020, travellers can also learn more about traditional ‘Nanda’ heritage and culture through interpretive signage and artwork at the Kalbarri Skywalk. Taking to the skies, multi-award-winning business HeliSpirit has started to offer scenic helicopter flights in Esperance. Departing from the Esperance foreshore, these adventures showcase the pristine coastline and Middle Island’s famed pink lake - Lake Hillier. The Esperance landscape is an impressive sight from above and scenic highlights include the Recherche Archipelago, Cape Le Grand and Cape Arid National Parks, including Woody Lake, Frenchman Peak, Lucky Bay, Hellfire Bay, Blue Haven, Twilight Bay, Lake Hillier and , Middle Island.

Food and wine aficionados can head to Margaret River, a three-hour drive south of Perth. The region is renowned for its world-class wineries, craft breweries, exquisite produce. Walk Talk Taste Margaret River will introduce travellers to the produce, people, places and secrets that locals love the most. They offer unique regional food experiences - from small group in-town walking tours to luxurious gourmet glamping - sharing only the region's very best produce.

Visitors can look forward to being hosted by Kellie Tannock - an experienced journalist, traveller and foodie who knows just what Margaret River visitors want and delivers it passionately. Set to reopen in April, The Orchard Perth is a short drive from the capital city, and offers private picnics, school holiday events and regular live music and pizza evenings, a firm favourite with locals and visitors alike, offering visitors a chance to explore the orchard, get up close to farm animals and enjoy the fresh country air.
