Get Cosy in Gippsland: Fish Creek Tea Cosy Festival Returns

16–24 May 2026 | Fish Creek, South Gippsland

(May 5, 2026, South Gippsland, Australia) Fish Creek is set to wrap itself in woolly wonder this May as the much-loved Fish Creek Tea Cosy Festival returns from 16–24 May 2026.

For nine crisp autumn days, this charming South Gippsland town comes alive with creativity, community spirit and a touch of whimsy. If you’ve never experienced a tea cosy festival before, expect the unexpected - think tiny woollen masterpieces, well-dressed teapots and plenty of country hospitality (with jam and cream on the side).

At the heart of the festival is the iconic Tea Cosy Exhibition at the Fish Creek Memorial Hall, where makers from across Australia transform teapots into imaginative works of art. With additional displays dotted throughout town, visitors can enjoy a self-guided “cosy crawl” through Fish Creek’s streets and shopfronts.

Following a standout 2024 event that drew more than 9,000 visitors, this year’s theme - “Life on the Farm”- celebrates Gippsland’s rural roots, with playful woollen takes on gumboots, tractors, sheepdogs and more.

The program also features knitting workshops with renowned expert Pru Raymond, art exhibitions, live music, a community market and more Devonshire teas than you can politely refuse. Don’t miss the Sunday Afternoon High Tea on 24 May (2 - 4pm, Fish Creek Bowls Club), serving up classic baked treats in true country style.
