Emirates Re-Opens First and Business Class Lounge at Changi Airport, Singapore

Singapore, 28 April 2017– Premium customers can now look forward to kick-starting an enhanced travel experience with the opening of Emirates’ newly refurbished First and Business Class lounge at Changi Airport, Singapore.

The five-month long refurbishment project is part of the airline’s continuous investment to improve and upgrade its products, so as to provide customers with the highest standards of comfort and ease at every stage of their journey.Officially opened today, the lounge is conveniently located in the departure area above Boarding Gate C1, and is part of a network of 41 dedicated airport lounges located within major airports worldwide.

All Emirates First and Business Class travellers, as well as Skywards Platinum and Gold members travelling in Economy Class, will have complimentary access to the new facility, which now has the capacity to accommodate 222 people comfortably, up from 179 people before the refurbishment.The new lounge, designed with a focus on comfort and quality and coupled with Emirates’ complimentary chauffeur drive service in Singapore, dedicated check-in counters, as well as Emirates’ award winning Inflight Entertainment service, offers premium customers a seamless, comfortable and enjoyable journey from the moment they start their travel until they arrive at their destination.

Adopting the airline’s new lounge design concept, which includes Italian marble floors, leather armchairs and walnut wood finishes, the newly-refurbished lounge creates an upmarket contemporary space for travellers to unwind. The new lounge was completed with an investment of USD1.74 million.The new lounge features facilities such as LED TVs, shower facilities, a business centre and bespoke artwork, offering travellers an exclusive, relaxing place to rest and rejuvenate in between flights. Emirates has also introduced a prayer room – a new addition to the Singapore lounge.

Guests can also treat their taste buds to an extensive menu of complimentary hot and cold gourmet food, served buffet style, as well as beverage services including a fine selection of premium champagne, wines and spirits at the lounge’s dedicated dining area.In addition to Singapore, and the seven lounges at its hub Dubai International Airport, Emirates also has dedicated lounges at Auckland, Bangkok, Beijing,  Birmingham, Boston, Brisbane, Cape Town, Colombo, Delhi, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, Glasgow, Hamburg, Hong Kong, Istanbul, Johannesburg, Kuala Lumpur, London Gatwick, London Heathrow, Los Angeles, Manchester, Melbourne, Milan, Munich, Narita, New York - JFK, Paris - Charles de Gaulle, Perth, Rome, San Francisco, Shanghai, Sydney and Zurich, representing an investment of over USD$360 million worldwide.

Emirates currently operates five daily flights between Singapore and Dubai.
