(Singapore, 30 August 2022) Comfort and convenience has seemingly become a necessity for any outdoor activity in this day and age, especially with the need to be constantly connected online. All it takes is a portable generator and solar panel for a touch of luxury on an outdoor trip, even in the most remote destinations.

With a solar powered generator, there is no reason for campers to worry about low powered batteries on mobile phones. In fact, camping can transform easily into glamping with a unit that could power projectors to watch movies, run coffee machines, fire up a hotplate to make your dinner of chicken sausage with apples and onions or as a backup for any emergencies.

Green tech start-up EcoFlow offers a host of options to make this dream a reality – a timely option to avoid rising fuel costs whilst making it an environmentally friendly effort. Leaving petrol generators – noisy and carbon emitting products – behind, a solar power station makes a winning entry.

One of EcoFlow's four co-founders Lei Wang says confidently: "Our products are helping to promote environmental sustainability, which is a universal goal that can strike a chord among consumers around the globe."

The glamping experience – or camping with glamour as it is known – has fast risen in popularity in the past few years. Globally, the market hit a whopping US$2.35 billion in value in 2021 and is projected to continue rising.

The US-based firm is not letting up on a chance to be part of this growth. Having seen success since its 2016 launch, its many solar-powered generators have come to the aid of many consumers who were affected by major natural disasters and seeking for more cost-effective alternative power options.

EcoFlow's Delta series of products have been gaining international recognition for its design and its purpose. It bagged four iF (Industrial Forum) Design Awards this year, and EcoFlow's River series which comprise four portable 600W output power stations ranging between 2.86kg and 7.6kgs makes your best bet for an outdoor adventure.

EcoFlow River mini (210Wh) offers 13 charges for your phone, 9.4 charges for your camera, 3 charges for a laptop and 5.1 hours of power for your speaker. Meanwhile, the EcoFlow River offers 288Wh in capacity with lots more charging time. The EcoFlow River Max, at 576Wh, has 47 charges for a phone, 32 charges for camera, 8 charges for laptop and over 17.8 hours for a 10W light and speaker. One can expect maximum capacity (720Wh) in the Ecoflow River Pro/Max Plus with 59 charges for a phone, 10 charges for your laptop and over 20 hours for light and speakers running at 10 watts.

Despite the power it offers – an industry-leading portable power – all River series can be held with just one hand and holiday makers will never have to worry about running out of juice, or power.

EcoFlow was co-founded by Wang, Eli Harris, Hannah Sieber and Fan Zheng. Since its establishment the firm racked up US$220 million in revenues for 2021 solely catering to demands for its solar-powered portable power stations.

Japan and North America make the two largest revenue drivers for EcoFlow – a rewarding marketing decision based on the fact that these countries were more prone to natural disasters and had tech-savvy consumers. Since then, EcoFlow has expanded its reach to more than 100 countries, the latest being Singapore and Malaysia which already have flagship stores on Shopee (only in Malaysia) and Lazada.

The firm's take on the glamping movement has already started in China where there has been a rising interest in the activity. It is also looking to tap the market in Africa, and Latin America and Asia to cater to a wide consumer profile whose curiosity may be piqued by "affordable" products that will come to their aid in power outages.

Both Delta and River series are available in Lazada Singapore: https://www.lazada.sg/shop/ecoflow-official/?path=index.htm&spm=a2o42.pdp_revamp.seller.1.3ba847d6QaneeW&itemId=2343047020&channelSource=pdp
