Travellers to Dubai and the Northern Emirates - Fujairah, Ras Al Khaimah, Sharjah, Ajman and Umm Al Quwain – should follow the quarantine procedures of the respective emirate. In Dubai, travellers only need to quarantine until receiving a negative COVID-19 test result, which is taken on arrival at Abu Dhabi International Airport and usually received the same day.

On arrival at Abu Dhabi Airport, passengers are only permitted to travel to another emirate by Etihad Chauffeur, Etihad Express Coach or Airport Taxi.
