(Singapore September 18 2023) The Macallan is bringing its immersive art exhibition to Singapore, as it celebrates its newest travel retail exclusive whisky range, The Colour Collection, and the brand’s exclusive partnership with world renowned artist and graphic designer, David Carson.
The interactive exhibition is part of a global tour, with London, Los Angeles, Shanghai and Dubai as part of its series of stops and will be held in Singapore from 7 to 11 October at the ArtScience Museum. The exhibition aims to bring The Macallan community together and immerse them in Carson’s creativity and experience the elements that inspired The Macallan’s Colour Collection.
Savour Art and Whisky at The Macallan’s Showcase at the ArtScience Museum Visitors will be taken on a guided presentation of Carson’s art pieces in the gallery, which were inspired by The Macallan’s creation process. Highlights include a Time Tunnel that takes guests through the maturation process of whisky, and the Exploration of Colours, which is an immersive and textural showcase that brings Carson’s work on The Macallan to life using augmented reality. They will then end the experience with a taste of the spirit – depending on their ticket option, they will either receive curated canapes and whisky pairing with The Macallan Brand Ambassador or a cocktail that is specially designed with The Colour Collection.
The Macallan Colour Collection and collaboration with David Carson
The Macallan Colour Collection is a new range of exceptional age statement whiskies celebrating the brand’s commitment to natural colour and reflecting the influence of sherry seasoning. The collection features a new visual identity inspired by the brand’s rich heritage and spiritual home, The Macallan Estate, highlighting its intrinsic connection to nature. It was also created in collaboration with David Carson who took inspiration from Jerez, a singular land of historic vineyards and fine wines where The Macallan’s sherry seasoned oak casks are crafted.
The range comprises five age statement single malt Scotch whiskies, marking the return of age statement whiskies to The Macallan’s global travel retail offering. From the gold oak of the Colour Collection 12 Years Old to the burnished chestnut of the Colour Collection 30 Years Old, the range spans the radiant tones of the whisky spectrum, to showcase the exquisite natural tones derived from maturation in The Macallan’s exceptional sherry seasoned oak casks. Crafted to The Macallan Whisky Mastery Team’s exacting specifications, these sherry seasoned oak casks are shipped to Scotland where they are filled with The Macallan’s signature rich and fruity new make spirit.

The packaging of The Macallan Colour Collection is designed by David Carson, who is a longstanding partner of the brand. The packaging of the 12 Years Old and 15 Years Old expressions features colours carefully chosen to complement the shade of the whisky within and reflect the strikingly pale terroir of Jerez. The packaging colour for the 18 Years Old whisky is inspired by the vibrant warmth of the evening sun in Jerez, and tones with the light auburn hue of the whisky. The wooden boxes for the 21 Years Old and 30 Years Old have been produced using oak from sustainable forests which are carefully managed to ensure trees are replaced with seedlings that eventually grow into mature trees. These beautifully designed boxes have been made to last and once the whisky has been enjoyed, they can be repurposed.
The Macallan Colour Collection is now available at Lotte Duty Free stores in Singapore Changi Airport. A dedicated Southeast Asia exclusive Changi 1st pop-up for The Macallan Colour Collection is now open until 18 October 2023 at Changi Airport’s Departure Hall Terminal 3, where travellers can discover the range for themselves.
The Macallan Colour Collection showcase will be held from 7 to 11 October 2023, at the ArtScience Museum, Level 4, 6 Bayfront Ave, Singapore 018974, from 12pm to 10pm daily.
Visitors can sign up for slots here, with tickets priced at $65 for the curated canapes and whisky pairing with The Macallan’s Brand Ambassador, or at $20 for the cocktail experience.
