The International Travel Expo Ho Chi Minh City (ITE HCMC), regarded as Vietnam’s foremost tourism trade event, has been an annual show since 2005. Returning for its 13th edition this year, ITE HCMC 2017 continues to be the leading international travel expo in Vietnam as well as in The Greater Mekong Sub-region.

The expo will take place at the Saigon Exhibition & Convention Center (SECC) in Ho Chi Minh City from 7th September to 9th September 2017.

Government Support

ITE HCMC 2017 is the national travel event jointly organised by the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism; Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism; VINEXAD – Vietnam Trade Fair & Advertising Co; and Informa Exhibitions. It is endorsed by the Ministry of Culture, Sports & Tourism, Vietnam, as well as the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, and supported by the Ministry of Tourism, Cambodia; Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism, Lao PDR; Ministry of Hotels & Tourism, Myanmar; and Ministry of Tourism and Sports, Kingdom of Thailand.

Events & Highlights

Visitors can expect a series of exciting features and programmes in addition to the highly anticipated trade exhibition. These programmes will cater to tourism promotion organisers, tourism operators, tourism industry professionals, international and local visitors. There will also be promotions of various participating international, national, city and state tourism destinations as well as conferences and seminars on the current hot topics in the tourism industry.

The first two days of the event will be open to trade visitors including hosted buyers and sellers, providing a unique platform to launch inbound and outbound travel businesses in the region and around the world. The exhibition will take on a different stage when it opens its doors to public visitors on the third day of the exhibition and will present an excellent opportunity for avid travellers to enjoy massive promotions and discounts extended especially for the event.

ITE HCMC 2017 participating companies (Buyers and Sellers) can set up appointments online with potential partners before meeting onsite at the event. This B2B speed-dating activity will provides Buyers and Sellers the platform to meet quality business partners, achieving their business targets for ITE HCMC 2017. During last year’s ITE HCMC, a total of 3,633 meetings were conducted between Buyers and Sellers.

Exhibitors & Hosted Guests

Until now, the tourism promotion organisations and international companies who will exhibit at ITE HCMC 2017 include airlines, hotels and resorts, tour companies and travel representatives from countries such as Cambodia, Germany, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, Thailand, United Arab Emirates, Vietnam, and many more. Among the trade visitors expected are 250 quality International Hosted Buyers from over 50 major markets in Australia, Cambodia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Korea, Myanmar, New Zealand, the Philippines, Russia, Singapore, Spain, Thailand, Turkey, the UAE, the UK, the US and many others.

Joining them are the Hosted Media from prominent international lifestyle and trade print media, digital media and travel bloggers. Asian Journeys will participate in this event as a Hosted Media.

Travel Fun Fair Day

The last day (9th September) of the expo is the Travel Fun Fair Day that will be open to the public. Visitors can expect lots of special promotion on air tickets and travel packages, as well as games and contest with attractive prizes like: air tickets, hotel vouchers and many more.
