SINGAPORE, 24 April 2018 – The All Blacks Sevens players today displayed their culinary skills in a cooking competition organised by Global Sponsor Air New Zealand, showcasing iconic New Zealand and Singapore flavours.

The competition, led by renowned Kiwi baker Dean Brettschneider, called on the All Black Sevens players – Sione Molia, Joe Ravouvou and Akuila Rokolisoa (pictured above) – to prepare and decorate two savoury pies, filled with New Zealand minced beef and Singapore chicken satay.

Jenni Martin, Head of South & South East Asia, Air New Zealand, says the cook-off with the All Black Sevens is a great opportunity for the airline to showcase the best of Kiwi people, culture and hospitality in Singapore. “Air New Zealand is extremely proud to support the All Blacks Sevens as they compete in the World Rugby Sevens Series, and we wish our players all the best in the Singapore run this weekend,” says Ms Martin.

The All Blacks Sevens players are in town for the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series Singapore on 28 and 29 April, and most recently won Gold in the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games rugby sevens.

Air New Zealand has a long-standing relationship with New Zealand Rugby, having been an Official Partner of the All Blacks since 1998. Most recently, the airline cemented its support for the All Blacks and the All Blacks Sevens team by resigning as a Global Sponsor through until 2020. Under the new agreement, Air New Zealand is recognised as the Official Airline of the All Blacks and the All Blacks Sevens.
